Auburn University has launched a program to train engineers for Alabama's automotive industry, the latest effort by state educators to prepare students for critical, high-value jobs in vehicle assembly plants.

Work is slated to begin next week on a project that has been in the planning stages for more than a year.  A new airport terminal - or more technically, a fixed base operator (FBO) building - will be constructed at Wetumpka Municipal Airport.
